The magestic rock of Monemvassia with its perfect medieval town and castro on it, in the middle of deep blue Aegean Sea, accessable via a narrow dam, is often compared with famous Gibraltar. We think Monemvassia is better, even if there are no monkeys there. But you will find a complete medieval stone town without any concrete buildungs, with steep narow streets (no cars allowed), wonderful old stone houses, small green gardens between them, and one of the best views in whole Mediterranean.
