Drymades, Hotel and Wooden Cottages, Dhermi, Albania

You don't believe there are still Robinson Crusoe places, less than 2 hours of flight from Central Europe? - Drymades is one of them. The only built area on a superb 5 km long sandy beach, which is still virgine - no other hotels, not even buildings, just a few umbrellas which belong to Drymades. Walking alone on the beach and swimming in crystal-blue Ionian Sea are special experiences you should otherwise go thousands of kilometres to find.

Drymades itself consists of basic 2-floor wooden bungalows (with ensuite showers, air condition, TV and rather spaceful balconies/verandas), situated in a wonderful olive-tree forest and between vineyards, just 20 m from the beach. There is also a restaurant with self-service breakfast and served dinner.

Next village with basic shopping possibilities is Greek-speaking Dhermi (Drymades) which is situated scenicly 300 m above the Sea in the region of South Albania's Greek minority. So, if you know some "Kalimera, ti kaneis?", you will be welcomed even more warmly.

In Dhermi village there is a more hotel-style building which also belongs to Drymades, but we preferred by far the beach-side one. There you will not forget the silent nights with the only sounds of cicadas and waves...
